Pine Hill Ski Club exists only and entirely thanks to volunteers. ALL the work – regular trail
maintenance, grooming, equipment care, operations management, website conditions posting
and editing, Robb’s Hut events, financial management, correspondence, support of school
winter activity x-c programs – ALL is done completely by volunteers!
We need YOU! You can pick out a way to contribute, large or small, that suits your talents and
time available. Pick out any small bit from the list below and contact PHSC using the Contact
Form here on the website, and someone who volunteers in that area will contact you with
some options that will allow you to help!

Volunteer Opportunities:

On the trails, in the fall:
Adopt-A-Trail – pick your favorite, walk it early fall and clear branches and cut back new
growth. Report fallen trees or potentially dangerous conditions
Signs – help place signs in needed places before ski season, and remove post season.

Gate Keepers – Maintain a key to open and close the locked gate at the trailhead. On
days PHSC is open, Open at 9am, Clo

check the parking lot to be sure no vehicles remain in the lots. Separate volunteers may
do open or closing duties, and may be scheduled for short intervals not the whole season!
Greeters – For holidays or busy weekends, be a greeter at the trailhead, answering
questions, helping collect trail fees, for 2-3 hours.
Frequent skier reporters – Those who ski virtually every day can really help the
groomers by texting reports on conditions and where work is needed, stockwellphotography2@gmaiI.com.
Robb’s Hut Hosts – Open the hut on weekends when conditions are good. Light
woodstove, greet skiers, offer hot cocoa, pancakes et

Support for school programs – Help prepare equipment for school sessions each week.

Volunteer for PHSC from home:
Any one of these small jobs could be picked up – no need to do all in a category!

Club. Officers are president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. Terms are 3 years.

Volunteer

When we needed to rebuild one of our bridges, the Sunapee snowmobile club volunteered to help us with their knowledge of bridge design and building, and we are extremely grateful for their help. We call the bridge Many Hands Bridge because of their volunteerism and help from Pine Hill volunteers as well.
